Claire Linwood - Coastguard

Claire Linwood

I work in the Yacht Department of Coleman and have been here for 2 ½ years.
In my spare time I am a volunteer Coastguard Rescue Officer for Swanage in Dorset. My role can involve searches along the coast from Swanage to the Chain Ferry at Studland and any incidents involving rescuing people from cliffs. I also get called to watch over any boats that might be in distress that are being rescued by either Swanage or Poole Lifeboats. I'm learning to rescue whilst abseiling at the moment- it's probably one of the most challenging things I've had to do in a long while!

Kim Hills - Mountainbiking

Kim Mills

I'm Kim Hills and I look after Marine Claims for Coleman which means if it goes on the water the claim comes to me to take care of! I have been here since March 2006 and now feel very much part of the team. Out of the office I am a mad keen mountain biker and expert cake eater. Endurance riding can really take it out of you so I never feel guilty about chomping my way through a coffee and walnut slice! If my legs ever get too tired I can always jump onto my motorbike for a trundle around Dorset's glorious countryside (and tea rooms!)

Steve Risk - Hillwalking

Steve Risk

Hi, I'm Steven Risk (and no, it isn't a designer surname!). I joined Coleman in December 2006 and work within the New Business area focusing primarily on Marine Cargo and Goods in Transit. I spent the early part of my insurance career within the London Insurance Market both underwriting and broking Cargo and Goods in Transit business.
This really is a beautiful part of the country and as you can see from the photo, I like to get my walking boots on from time to time to explore the glorious Dorset coastline.

Phil Greaves - Holiday

Phil Greaves

I'm Phil Greaves and have been with Coleman for eight years and am a manager in the Electracare and SME department.
This picture was taken during a recent trip to Mallaig in Scotland where the scenery was breathtaking. As you can see, I prefer to take my holidays in style avoiding the stuff of adrenaline junkies!

Dee Barron - Rowing

Dee Barron

Hi, I'm Dee Barron and have been with Coleman for just over a year working with the new business team. I have a particular interest in insurance for charities and not-for-profit organisations (including rowing clubs!). A great deal of my spare time is spent messing about in rowing boats- Cornish pilot gigs to be precise! Throughout the season I row for Swanage Sea Rowing Club (usually when they're desperate for people!) and attend the annual 'World' Championships on the Isles of Scilly and numerous regattas in the West Country. Some of us like to finish the season with the Great River Race- a 22 mile marathon on the Thames which hurts a bit!
As a trustee and Secretary of Swanage Sea Rowing Club I am involved in the day-to-day running of the club and work with the other trustees to ensure our members get the most from their subscriptions (and that the Charity Commission receives its returns on time!). More information on our club can be found on www.ssrc.org.uk

Steve Handy - Sailing

Steve Handy

Hi, I’m Steve Handy, or commonly known amongst the racing fraternity in Poole as “Shandy”! I’ve been at Coleman for two years and manage the Yacht department. Being totally addicted to the marine industry, I relocated from the slightly less sunnier climes of the Midlands to enjoy all that the South Coast has to offer. When I’m not in the office, I can usually be located somewhere on the water, often indulging in motor boating which I try to keep secret from my yacht racing friends! With a wealth of sales, customer service and marine insurance-based experience and a total commitment to “looking after” our clients, I’m always happy to assist- just give me a call!

Dawn Fuller- Making friends on holiday

Dawn Fuller

I am Coleman's Management Accountant and joined the company in April 1993 to run the accounts department. At that stage I was the person doing the accounts so I had and still have a very busy job. Now the company has grown so much that the department now has 3 members of staff.
I enjoy walking, especially by the sea, reading and travelling although I don't get enough time to see all the places in the world that I would like to visit. Memories like this dolphin swim keep me going until the next holiday.

Angie Pitman - Special Constable with Dorset Police

Angie Pitman

Hi, I'm Angie Pitman and I work in the Marine Trade/Commercial area of the business as a Key Account Executive looking after some of our larger clients including the RNLI.
Prior to joining Coleman, I served for 10 years as a Special Constable with Dorset Police. You could say that it is in the blood as my grandfather had also served as a Special Constable during the war years.
I found serving the local community to be a very rewarding experience. I was involved in foot patrols in the Poole and Broadstone areas which could mean anything from assisting in the arrest of a shoplifter to dealing with a car accident or helping find a lost child.

Lisa Vine - Amateur Dramatics

Lisa Vine

Hello- I'm Lisa and am part of the Facilities Team at Coleman who look after our busy switchboard. In my spare time I am a member of Poole & Parkstone Productions (also known as P&P).
P&P are one of the best known amateur theatrical companies on the South Coast and have won numerous awards both locally and regionally for their productions. They have a thriving membership of over 100 and produce several major shows and concerts each year.
P&P typically perform a full stage musical in the Spring and a themed concert in the Autumn. All performances take place at the Lighthouse in Poole.
This picture is from my performance in "Annie Get Your Gun" and was taken backstage.
I really enjoy being a member of the P&P team as I enjoy singing, dancing and performing on stage and I've met some great people and feel a valued member of the team.
